Linguistics and Psycholinguistics Aspects

Psycholinguistics language relationship with brain discusses the process and communicate utterance and in language acquisition The important thing is how to process and generate utterance and how that language acquisition takes place.

The process of language is the work of the brain takes place. That is not understood and is not known for sure is how language processing so that tangible meaningful units and how the process of processing units of utterance sent by the speaker so that the listener is understandable. Sure everything is within the boundaries of consciousness (the speaker or listener).

Language as a System
Indicates the rules that manage the language and relate each other forming a system. Language manifests in sounds and symbols based on a rule conformed conventionally among the speakers.

Language as a Personal Behavior
Language develops as the speakers develop. Every speaker shows his/her personalities through language. Language can be understood from the speakers’ behavior, utterance or reaction on stimulus

Language as an Interpersonal Behavior
Language is used by the speakers in their communication with others. The communication runs well if the hearer can respond the speaker satisfyingly. The communication is disturbed if some obstacles/misunderstanding occur because of unclear information or poor speech organs or etc.

Pycholinguistic View Of Speech
Structural aspect ==> a certain language system
Intentional aspect ==> lexicon and meaning resistance in speaker’s brain
Motivational aspect ==> supporting power causing someone states something by using language

Linguistics is the study of human language scientifically (Langacker and Lyon), The language use is representation of someone’s psyche and behavior.
